Around 1962 a musical movement was brewing that would change the world of music forever. Evolving out of rock ‘n’ roll, many English speaking groups began to develop the concept of pop music.
This album will review the history of rock and pop music from its beginnings up to the present, with some of its side genres (late 70’s punk, 80’s indie music, Britpop, post-punk from this century), and small forays into other styles of the time such as late 50’s rock ‘n’ roll, soul, reggae and funk.
In this album you’ll find some of the most significant bands and artists and some of the most important records of the last 50 years of music. Everyone would make a different list so I’m sure you won’t find all that you’re looking for but I’ve tried to be as thorough as I could.
